Description

A fiery red giant that’s bold and beautiful! The Brazilian Fire Red Birdeater (Lasiodora difficilis) is a large New World terrestrial species from Brazil, with a black-grey body and vibrant reddish urticating hairs. Fast-growing and heavy-bodied, it’s often out and active as a confident eater. Generally bold rather than highly defensive, with a strong feeding response but occasional hair-flicking—makes an impressive display for intermediate to advanced keepers.
