A showstopper that demands respect! The Electric Blue (Chilobrachys natanicharum) is a relatively new and highly desirable Old World fossorial species known for its stunning, deep metallic blue colouration, visible primarily on its legs and carapace. While it spends most of its time building an elaborate silk web-tunnel system beneath the surface, it is a magnificent display animal when out. This tarantula is characterised by lightning speed, a defensive/aggressive temperament, and medically significant venom. Due to its evasive nature, speed, and aggressive demeanour, the Electric Blue is reserved for Advanced keepers experienced with the challenges of maintaining fast, deep-burrowing Old World tarantulas.
